Not having the TV on is much more difficult when you're staying at somebody else's house for a week. I may need to extend this challenge into August a little bit.

Reducing the options is a big help. We cut back to basic (as in $10.00 per month basic) cable last month so I only have about seven channels to choose from. I don't speak Spanish so three of the seven channels are out and reruns of the Portland City Counsel meetings are only interesting for about the first 13 seconds. I’ve read two books and actually had a conversation with my wife during dinner the other night.
